And Thank You Again, Sarah-Beth!

24 Apr

This woman is brilliant. For real. If you ever want to get a good dose of Bible insight, hang out with Sarah-Beth sometime.

I’ve been up to my eyeballs in commentary editing — hence my lack of blogginess (yes, I just invented that word, and I think its a keeper) — but this is some of what makes my job doable and fun. I get to read stuff like this from my team.

Though the cross was a once and for all event, saving faith in Jesus as the Christ is not a solitary, once and for all event in the believer’s life. One lone decision does not necessarily result in continued justification and righteousness. The faith that saves is the life lived by faith which continually believes that its sins have been forgiven and that it stands righteous, justified before the Holy God on account of the propitiation of Christ’s sacrifice.  Saving faith, righteousness, and justification before God is a continual believing in the work of the cross confirmed by Christ’s resurrection, as the cross and the resurrection is integrated and reproduced in the believer’s life.

Ok. I try to keeping my blogging reading to a minimum and I NEVER comment but indeed I feel compelled by this one! Sarah-Beth IS most definitely a great theological gem in our midst! I can hardly recall a single conversation I had with her that did not reflect on the beauty and glory of Christ and His Word! I can’t wait until this crazy commentary is complete so FINALLY some of her work is published!!!
