Pictures as promised

08 Feb

As promised in yesterday’s post (which the daytime-biased calendar still regards as today… *sigh*…), I’m including some photos of my progress on my room. The following pictures will be more entertaining and make more sense if you read yesterday’s entry first. Foregoing any random disaster striking, I’m done with the painting side of things. Now just to get everything moved in…

CurlyQ's

Above: The detail work I was doing when I realized I should be talking to the Holy Spirit while I was at it. The color of the wall didn’t translate very well onto my camera, but trust me, it is very much like a lilac and pink rose smoothie. I think the color needs to be dubbed “rosiliac.”

The Genius Invention

Above: The paint roller: one of the most brilliant products ever to hit the home decor market.

 Evil Ceiling Popcorn

Above: The insidious ceiling popcorn, and the blue painter’s tape that hates it. Notice the natural properties of repulsion between the two.

Nasty peelage

Above: “Clean Removal” painter’s tape, my foot. Note the stylish peeling gash in the lovely new rosiliac finish. Good thing I have some paint left over…

OK… I have to say… your presentation of these pictures is far more enjoyable than simply walking over ten feet to step into the room and look at the walls myself. And I just did it to verify.

I know I just told you this about 40 seconds ago… but, for everyone else’s sake… rosilac is a great description of the color.

@ Mom – only if you want pretty much exactly what you see above. 🙂 I’m not quite ready to open up the interior decorating business.

    @ Victoria – Thanks. I do what I can. 😉
